The Montreal Canadiens (24-19-4) defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning (25-18-3) 3-2 on Tuesday night at the Bell Center in Montreal. It was the second loss in as many nights for Tampa Bay.
Tied 2-2 late, Jake Evans scored with 2:15 to go to clinch this game. The Lightning had previously gotten goals from Nikita Kucherov and Jake Guentzel to take a 2-0 lead early in the second period before the Canadiens rallied for the win.
The Lightning next travel to Chicago where they will play the Blackhawks on Friday night. Puck drop Friday is scheduled for 8:00 PM.
