A ten hour concert spread across five continents is coming in 2020! And not only is it massive in scale, but it's also massive in talent. The 2020 Global Citizen Festival will be something special. You've got Metallica, you've got Ozzy, you've got Eddie Vedder, and you've even got people like Idris Elba and Trevor Noah! It sounds like it's going to be an epic lineup.
If you don't know much about the Global Citizen organization, their effort is centered around the quest to end poverty. Rolling Stone has a quote from their CEO, Hugh Evans, that sums it up pretty well:
“Our goal, to put it simply, is to engage every single person on the planet in this mission [to end global poverty]. To do so we must boldly and creatively reach global citizens where they are: in person, on television, on their phones and online.”
