Today is World Radio Day and let me tell you, it's a day to celebrate! Radio has been my life from sixteen years old and I wouldn't have it any other way. I've worked on and off the air and loved every minute of it. Radio is a medium that can speak to an audience like a mate in the car sitting next to them. It's wonderful, special magic makes you feel like you know the person on the other end. And as someone who is on the other end, I feel the love from listeners, whether it's on the phone, at an event or even through social media. Radio touches the lives of everyone with a car. Local social issues, world events and music, all of these things bring us together as a community and you can find them all on the radio. Radio is such a growing and changing medium as it blends with with times. I will always have a deep love, appreciation and respect for radio. May it live forever
