Brian the Hedgehog Hero

I think one of the most attractive things is when a successful, powerful man shows his softer side. I feel like Brian May has done just that with revealing his love for Hedgehogs.

“It does feel great,” May tells Channel 5 show Saving Britain’s Hedgehogs, which features the conservation work carried out at the Amazing Grace rescue center on his estate in Surrey, England, where sickly hogs are rehabilitated and released back into the wild.

May, who earned a Ph.D in astrophysics in 2007 spends his time with these little animals when they're released into May’s “Hedgehog Heaven” – a patch of garden filled with insect-attracting plants, so that they can root around in the dirt and rediscover their wild ways.

While talking with the show's presenter May said “It’s a paradise for hedgehogs, It’s their intermediate home. They’ll learn to forage and look after themselves and they’ll be back out in the wild – because they are wild animals.”

He said this while a little hedgehog nibbled on his sock. He pulled the small creature off him and told it to go and look for some "lovely ants."

That's it, stick a fork in me, i'm done. This is the most adorable thing ever!

Heart = melted. 💘
