Miley Cyrus To Cover Pearl Jam For MTV's Unplugged At Home Series

Miley Cyrus is covering Pearl Jam in MTV's Unplugged‘s ‘At Home’ series!

The world is slightly different these days ... so MTV is doing an at home version of their unplugged series. MTV Unplugged Presents Miley Cyrus Backyard Sessions will air first in the US at 7pm on October 16 on MTV (it’ll air in other countries over that weekend), and will see Cyrus performing from her own backyard.

Miley seems to be keeping one foot planted in the rock and metal world at the moment; after recently revealing that her upcoming album She Is Miley Cyrus is partly inspired by Metallica, now the popstar is set to go grunge with a Pearl Jam cover for a new live performance.

Speaking of Pearl Jam, yesterday, Pearl Jam announced two huge UK headline shows at London’s Hyde Park on July 9-10, 2021.

“We couldn’t be happier to be back and we can’t wait to bring everyone together with BST Hyde Park 2021, for what could be the most memorable British Summer Time ever…” says promoter Jim King.

Of course, Miley famously covered Metallica and Nine Inch Nails at Glastonbury last year, as well as performing at the Chris Cornell tribute concert, I Am The Highway, several months prior. And it makes perfect sense to cover Pearl Jam for her Backyard Sessions set.

If you love Blondie’s ‘Heart of Glass’ Miley's rendition of it will not disappoint for the virtual iHeartRadio Festival 2020.

I for one, can not WAIT until Friday!
