There's a big trend on TikTok right now where people are drinking water with CHLOROPHYLL added to it. This was a trend back in Australia seven years ago. These trends all seem to cycle in and out, just like skinny jeans ... They say it can help basically ANY skin problems. The thing is, chlorophyll from eating leafy greens IS good for your skin, but who knows if that's what you're getting if you buy supplements? Furthermore, you just have to eat some greens and you can get the same benefits, if not more.
One doctor at New York University says, quote, "We know that chlorophyll, in its pure form in leafy greens, is really great at being an antioxidant and treating inflammation, and that has been studied."
But adding a few drops of it to water hasn't been proven. Quote, "Whether or not different supplement companies have a true form of chlorophyll that would actually be absorbed, we don't know. I would be very hesitant."
