It's almost like there is a hurricane with the way people in South Florida are behaving at the gas pump. Yesterday I saw a woman filling a PLASTIC BAG with gas .... and I was stuck behind a man who was filling up an extra-large tank that was big enough to fill five of the obnoxiously large trucks he was driving. It seems everyone's gone crazy ... why?
It's all because of a cyber-attack possibly from Russia on one of America's main fuel pipelines ..... is it just me or do we always assume it's Russia? Apparently, the reason they think it's a Russian gang is that their software avoids encrypting any computer systems where the language is set as Russian....
According to the BBC the cyber-criminal gang, DarkSide which is holding Colonial Pipeline for ransom, has made a public statement saying "Our goal is to make money and not creating problems for society." Well, what did they think would happen without the availability of GAS?! Idiots ....
The US issued emergency legislation as the pipeline carries 2.5 million barrels a day which is 45% of the East Coast's supply of diesel, petrol and jet fuel. Yikes!
However!!!!! FLORIDA GETS OUR GAS FROM THE PORTS, NOT THE PIPELINES ....in other words, this doesn't affect us the way it is affecting other states in the US right now. So stop panic buying gas, that is the only thing making it hard to get gas right now. Okkkkkrrrrrrrrrrrr! I'm looking at you ... lady filling up a plastic bag with gas .... 🙄
