Pizza Hut has announced it's a partnership with one of my favourite brands, "Beyond Meat" and they are adding vegan pepperoni to the menu and so far, it's been getting mixed reactions. Those who love meat are saying why and vegans who still don't have a vegan cheese option at Pizza Hut are asking the same thing.
Why have the option for vegan meat when the pizza place doesn't have vegan cheese. MMMM a sauce and vegan meat pizza???
Alas, this is a step in the right direction for sure, giving vegetarians, pescatarians and flexitarians way more options on the menu.
I wish they had announced a vegan pizza .... that would have made more sense, as this would have had vegan cheese on it presumably and also made ordering way easier.
I really hope innovation of the plant-based meat sector continues to grow and we have healthier options for ourselves and the planet more widely available really soon.
