Boston Dynamics has been at the forefront of robot technology of late, wowing the world with dancing, backflipping robots, but there is another company making waves right now named Caltech.
What cool stuff are they doing? Oh, just making walking, flying, skateboarding robots ....
The weirdly cute new robot they've come up with is named Leo, short for Leonardo which stands for LEgs ONboARD drone. Leo was developed by a team of researchers at Caltech's Center for Autonomous Systems and Technologies, and he is the first robot that uses multi-joint legs and propeller-based thrusters to achieve a high level of control and balance.
I can't tell if I'm impressed or terrified of where this is all leading. Where do you stand on this issue? (Obviously, because we can't fly like Leo) ...
