So this viral video has people in hot debate today all over the internet!
A customer tipped a server with an Amazon gift card instead of cash and she filmed it and put it on TikTok with the caption "holidays left us broke."
People immediately started commenting saying the customer is cheap and he shouldn't have tipped the server like that. But others came to his aid by pointing out that a $25 tip is actually quite a bit more than a 20% tip of $17.19.
Maybe I don't quite understand, because it's not in Australia's culture to tip, but I think this is fair.
If the server is anything like the rest of us, chances are she gets most of her stuff off Amazon anyway.
I personally would take the gift card and be super happy with it.
What do you think?
