The 45th instalment of Art Deco Weekend takes place January 14-16. After a year's hiatus of in-person events, the cultural festival, organized by Miami Design Preservation League (MDPL), is returning to Lummus Park in Miami Beach.
One of the events that I want to see is the movie, Radioland Murders at O Cinema South Beach. (1130 Washington Ave, Miami Beach, FL) on January 14 @ 7:00 pm-9:00 pm
The plot goes like this, the secretary at radio station WBN, Penny Henderson (Mary Stuart Masterson) is frantically trying to keep things in order as a broadcast goes on the air. Chaos breaks loose, however, when a series of murders occurs in the building, accompanied by an enigmatic voice over the airwaves.
And I think this one would be super interesting, the South Beach Scandals Tour at Art Deco Museum and Welcome Center 1001 Ocean Drive, Miami Beach, FL, January 14 @ 1:00 pm-2:30 pm.
This 90-minute walking tour focuses on illegal activities and shady characters in Miami Beach history. Topics include political corruption, illegal gambling, alcohol during prohibition, and organized crime figures. Tour departs from the Art Deco Welcome Center, 1001 Ocean Drive, Miami Beach, FL, 33139. All tours are rain or shine.
