Netflix is creating a real-life "Squid Game" competition show that they're hyping as "the biggest reality competition ever."
It's called "Squid Game: The Challenge", and it'll have 456 players . . . competing in a series of games . . . for the chance to win $4.56 million.
Those numbers are notable because there were also 456 players on the fictional show . . . and the total prize, in South Korean currency, was 45.6 billion "won." That's more than $38 million in U.S. money.
I couldn't imagine anyone watching that show was thinking "I wish that was happening to me" but if you were one of the few, it's now your chance to shine." Hopefully, the Netflix version won't do the whole ... killing people thing.
