Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Is Gaining Popularity

Growing up we had a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Lily and she was the light of our lives! She was so sweet and loving, not sure smart I will say haha but definitely the kindest animal I've ever met. You could trust her with children implicitly and she was a little snuggle bug.

It makes me so happy to see that these dogs are gaining popularity again with the appointment of King Charles III.

The breed that shares the same name as the newly crowned King, is all the talk in Brittan right now. Pet lovers are already talking about getting a Cavalier King Charles spaniel in honour of their new king. Similar to how the Queen popularised the Corgi, the King Charles is about to have a big moment. One person tweeted, "Dog breeders take note… I’m not a trend-spotter or influencer, but something tells me this will be the hottest, trendiest breed of dog, really soon."

If you want to know more about these cute pups, I've attached some info below.

One thing to consider is they do get heart issues. Our Lily ultimately succumbed to hers at age 15, although she did have a wonderfully long life.
