Dave Hill grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and spent time as a child playing radio DJ in his room. “I would run a cord down the hall to broadcast to my brothers and parents. I'm sure they enjoyed that,” said Hill. By the time Dave was in high school he was playing drums in rock bands around Atlanta. Ultimately his path led him to college at Georgia State University. Here he where his radio journey really took off when he joined WRAS/Atlanta, one of the most prestigious college radio stations in the USA. He was quickly identified to become the next music director. A short year and a half later he was working at Alternative 99X Atlanta on the air and in the programming department.

Dave spent several years with 99X and eventually moved on in 1996 to other stations on the east coast including WMRQ-FM/Hartford, CT (Alternative), WQBK-FM and WQBJ-FM/Albany, NY (Active Rock), where he programmed and aired in middays. Beginning in 2002 Dave served as PD WIYY-FM (98Rock)/Baltimore and Operations Manager for Hearst Broadcasting's four stations. In 2014 he left Baltimore to become the Senior Vice President of Programming for iHeartMedia/Portland, Or.

Last August Dave joined iHeartMedia's Miami cluster as Program Director and 7PM-midnight host for WBGG.

Dave is married to his wife Angela and they have two children together, Roxy (6) and Austin (2). Dave is a barbecue fanatic and in his free time, can found on his back patio smoking competition style barbecue.
