Along with his solo career, this singer has fronted the bands New Earth Mud, Brotherhood, & As the Crow Flies, but it is his work in The Black Crowes that his fame is most claimed. Formed in Atlanta, Georgia, The Crowes were signed to Def American and released their debut album, Shake Your Money Maker, in 1990.
They would follow that up with The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion, which reached the top of the Billboard Charts in 1992. The albums Amorica, Three Snakes and One Charm, By Your Side, and Lions followed, but none captured the chart success of the first two albums.
The Black Crowes have sold more than 30 million albums, and were listed at number 92 on VH1's 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock.
