In 2013, after years of dominance by The Beatles, Jack White's solo debut, "Blunderbuss," became the biggest selling vinyl album!
Selling 33,000 copies, "Blunderbuss" would knock The Beatles' "Abbey Road" from the top spot, where it stood for three years.
After, six successful albums with Meg White as a member of the White Stripes, the duo called it quits, as Meg's struggle with acute anxiety caused them to cancel their 2007 tour and go on hiatus. The duo would breakup in 2011 and Jack would take part in several side projects, including The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather.
Jack would release Blunderbuss in digital and vinyl on April 23, 2012, behind the lead single "Love Interruption." The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 and the album with its singles received 3 Grammy nominations. The album ultimately went gold in the US.
