Patrons aboard a floating sauna in Norway rescued two people whose car went into the water.
The car drove off the road where ships dock at the foot of Oslo’s medieval fortress and castle, as the car was stopped, before it accelerated and ended up in the water. The driver thought the vehicle was in park when he hit the accelerator, and as the car went down, the two occupants got to the roof of the vehicle, when the sauna raft headed towards them.
“I gave full throttle toward the people who came climbing out of the car” Nicholay Nordahl, the skipper said, who reached them just as the car went under. “With good help from two of the guests, we got them up. They warmed up in the sauna.”
The floating sauna operates on the fjord in Oslo, and are electrically powered.
