Pearl Jam fights for the world's oceans with their new video for the title track off their latest album "Dark Matter"!
The SeaLegacy Version, focuses on ocean conservation and climate change.
"We are on the front lines of a new climate era: a world built on stolen lands, waters, and futures. Without our voices for the oceans and the Earth, our fellow species will vanish in silence. Change begins with awareness and the courage to act. Rise up and be the voice for our ocean at SeaLegacy.org." The band stated in a release.
Pearl Jam released their 12th album, Dark Matter in time for Record Store Day on Saturday. The 11-track album already has singles out, but the band blessed fans with visualizers for the release.
Pearl Jam will hit road with a major world tour kicking in Vancouver, making a stop to headline Bottlerock Festival in Napa Valley, California, before heading to Europe.
Pearl Jam put out “Running,” which was one of the last songs recorded with producer Andrew Watt at Rick Rubin’s Shangri-La Studio in Los Angeles.
“It was fun to come up with one more up-tempo song,” Stone Gossard said. "Eddie’s vocal dexterity here and on a few other spots on the album is just stunning.”
"Dark Matter" is PEARL JAM's first release since "Gigaton" in 2020. Recorded in Shangri-La Studios in Malibu, the album took three weeks to record, and was released in celebration of indie record stores with a special edition of "Dark Matter", at participating stores as part of Record Store Day!
