Billy Joel turned back the clock with his first video in 17 years!
Joel dropped “Turn the Lights Back On,” which shows a de-aged Billy Joel from the 70's, 80's, 90's, and today. Directed by Warren Fu and Freddy Wexler, the transitions of Joel sitting at the piano was made possible by AI startup Deep Voodoo.
Last month he announced he’d be releasing “Turn the Lights Back On,” just in time for his performance at the Grammys. The songs marks a shift in Joel's career, as at the end of July, Joel will end his residency at Madison Square Garden, with his 150th show at the Mecca.
“It’s hard to believe we’ve been able to do this for 10 years,” Joel said. “It keeps selling and people keep coming and people keep buying tickets, and I’m now 74. I’ll be 75 next year. It seems like a nice number.”
