Today is National Oreo Cookie Day!!
That's right, on this day you break out some milk, and recognize the chocolaty, creamy goodness that is Oreo cookies! The two chocolate cookies that sandwich, a sweet cream filling is loved by millions Worldwide, as its become the best-selling cookie in the United States. Nabisco first developed and produced the “Oreo Biscuit” as it was known back then, in 1912 in New York City, and sold for 25 cents a pound. A POUND! In 1952 William A. Turnier developed the modern-day Oreo design that includes the Nabisco logo, while Sam Procello, developed the modern Oreo cookie filling.
Today, Oreos are everywhere! As the original cookie, in chocolate bars, and even an ice cream flavor, which i'm straight up housing when I get home today. So, rise up my fellow sweet toothes, and go snack on some Oreo's, and when some fool asks you if you kow how many calories are in that, tell you're observing a national day of appreciation!
