It's Sebastian Bach's Birthday!

It's Sebastian Bach's birthday!

The late 80's Hair Metal singer got his start in Canada as a members of Kid Wikkid, a teen band in Ontario. When Bach hit his late teens he would join Skid Row when original singer Matt Fallon left the group. Recruited by Dave Sabo, the band achieved commercial success in the late 80s and early 90s, with their first two albums Skid Row and Slave to the Grind, which were both certified multi-platinum. The band was even able to find success in the Grunge 90's with their third album Subhuman Race in 95, which garnered critical acclaim.

By 1996, Bach would be fired from Skid Row, and joined The Last Hard Men, an alternative rock supergroup formed by Kelley Deal, and recorded a cover of the Alice Cooper song "School's Out" for the Scream soundtrack. After the release of his solo album "Bring 'Em Bach Alive!" Bach would perform on Broadway, debuting with the Jekyll & Hyde and appearing as Riff Raff in The Rocky Horror Show.

In 2003, Bach tried out for Velvet Revolver, but the band went with Scott Weiland, because as Slash would say,

"We sounded like Skid Roses!"

Sebastian would go back to acting with a recurring role on Gilmore Girls as "Gil", the lead guitarist in Lane Kim's band, Hep Alien, and launch reality shows on VH1. He's also hit the road on solo tours playing both his own material and hits from Skid Row's catalogue.

Not bad for a little kid from Canada. Happy Birthday Sebastian.
