Watch Apocalyptica Make A Metallica Classic Symphonic

Apocalytpica first hit the scene as a classical Metallica tribute act, when they released their debut album, and since then they helped shaped the sub-genre symphonic metal with their influence over the years. Now the group has two Metallica members to appear in their cover of band’s all-time classic “One.”

James Hetfield and Rob Trujillo, both appear on Apocalyptica’s version of “One,” which takes the classic into cello lines, that turns the morbid feel of the original into something more melodically soothing. Hetfield takes his raspy sung lyrics, and changes them to spoken word, making the song feel like a memoir rather than a plea for help that the original invoked.

The Apocalyptica version takes its time and that make it feel like more of an Aria that translates to the epic video that you can watch above.
