A McDonald's Gold cardholder can have free meals for life!
Bill Gates is the owner of such a card and can visit any McDonald's worldwide and enjoy a free meal for life. Warren Buffett who also has one does not have one like Bill's as his card was good in Omaha, but Gates' card worked everywhere.
"There's just a few of them. Bill Gates has one. His is good throughout the world, I guess," Buffet said.
Gates has a well chronicled love of cheeseburgers, which he describes as his "favorite food." Now there is a question of why Buffett or Gates who can pay for any meal, need a Gold Card? The answer of course is advertising. It doesn't hurt that a couple of billionaires like to eat McDonald's and the fast food giant offered a few contest winners the McGold Card which grants them lifetime access to free meals.
"Here we have my McDonald's card, which lets me eat free at any McDonald's in Omaha for the rest of my life. So that's why the Buffett family has Christmas dinner at McDonald's. It explains a lot of things," Buffet said.
