It's Ann Wilson's Birthday!

It's Ann Wilson's birthday!

the lead singer of Heart, has rocked the world with her voice since the 70s. With her younger sister, Nancy, the two formed the first hard rock band fronted by women. Heart, blazed a trail through the 70's with albums like Dreamboat Annie in 76, and Little Queen in 77. The band was powered through the decade by singles like "Magic Man", "Crazy on You", and "Barracuda".

By the time the 80's came along it looked as if Heart was going to run out of steam, but after a band realignment Heart made a huge comeback with songs like, "These Dreams", "What About Love", and "Alone". By the 90's the group had one more chart hit with "All I Wanna Do Is Make Love To You", but by then Ann & Nancy had tired of the angle of the band, so the two moved into the 90's both working on solo projects and together as The Lovemongers.

Heart has sold over 35 million records, placed 29 singles on the Billboard Hot 100, and scored top 10 albums on the Billboard 200 in the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and 2010s. Wilson is regarded as one of the "Greatest Vocalists of All Time", and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Heart.

Happy Birthday Ann Wilson you Queen of Rock
