Could Bryan Adams Have Been In Kiss?!

Bryan Adams tapped into his songwriting roots again, as he released the video for his version of the Kiss classic "War Machine"!

Bryan wrote the song along with his longtime songwriting partner Jim Vallance for the band, as the two made a solid living writing, which would eventually lead to Bryan's recording career in the 80's. At the time the band was dealing with it's own turmoil, as Ace Frehly was being run down by his struggle with alkanol. Creatures Of The Night was a tough album to record for Kiss, and the possibilities to replace Ace, was looming with names like Bob Kulick (brother of Bruce) and even Eddie Van Halen. Now there was never a chance of Bryan Adams joining the band, but his contribution of one of the most iconic Kiss songs of all time was enough.

Bryan Adams released a Limited Edition 7", digital single and video for "Rock And Roll Hell"! The double A-side single also featured "War Machine".

"To commemorate the first single on Bad Records, here are two songs I co-wrote when I was a 22 year old struggling songwriter. I got a call out of the blue from producer Michael James Jackson to see if I would like to write for Kiss, which I was thrilled to do, and these are a couple of the songs that were the result, written with both Gene Simmons and Jim Vallance. While sitting with the band, Gene played me this fantastic bass riff, which ended up being the backbone of 'War Machine'. I was trying to think of a theme that could possibly match the riff and came up with the title. Seeing as the other song we'd written was about hell, War was the obvious theme to coincide with it. 'Rock and Roll Hell' was actually Jim's song that had been released a few years earlier with Bachman Turner Overdrive, and I suggested, that we re-write it for Kiss. It's incredible to think these themes are unfortunately still playing out for real in the world today, but I'm very grateful to the Kiss guys for giving me the chance back then."

Throw on top of that, Howie Mandel sings on the chorus of the song and the story gets even zanier! The Vinyl will be available exclusively on Bryan's webstore on August 30th, but "Rock And Roll Hell" is available digitally now, with a video filmed at London's Royal Albert Hall.
