It’s Paul Stanley’s Birthday!
You have to go far before you find a rock God bigger than Paul Stanley, as the Starchild is one of the most iconic singers in rock history!
The founder of Kiss, was the writer or co-writer of practically all of the band's most popular songs. Creating the Starchild character for his expression in the band, Paul is also a creator of many of the band’s biggest riffs on guitar.
Hit Parader Magazine ranked him 18th on their list of the Top 100 Metal Vocalists of All Time, and Gibson.com in a readers' poll named him 13th on their Top 25 list of Frontmen, and as a member of Kiss, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Paul was in a number of bands before Kiss, but eventually met Gene Simmons, and joined his band Wicked Lester. The band recorded one album in 1972, but never released it, as Wicked Lester fell apart. Paul and Gene responded to an ad posted by Peter Criss in Rolling Stone magazine, and then the three found Ace Frehley and the rest is history. Stanley, would change his name to Paul Stanley as he was inspired by both Paul McCartney and Paul Rodgers, and the band would be a foursome to emulate their inspiration from The Beatles.
Happy Birthday Paul, we were made for loving you.
