The Palm Beach County School Board discussed the plan for next school year at Wednesday night's meeting, and members heard from members of the public.

They included a grandfather of a student.

"No masks, no vaccination, no CRT."

Superintendent Donald Fennoy laid out a plan to resume in-person learning in August and it includes both masks and vaccines optional.

At the end of the meeting, one School Board member suggested sending home a survey to see whether parents would be open to keeping their children separated if they're not wearing masks.

The Board ultimately did not take up this suggestion, and several other members shut down the idea.

Other topics at the meeting included Critical Race Theory, sex education, and LGBTQ clubs. The school district claims it does not include CRT in its classroom curriculum.
