A Florida man has been arrested on several charges after allegedly threatening to cut the “gay” out of his brother with a kitchen knife.
Miami-Dade police arrested 35-year-old David Martinez after a dispute between Martinez and his brother on Thursday evening.
Martinez’s brother told police Martinez threatened to cut the “gay” out of him while sharpening a large kitchen knife, before threatening to kill him.
The victim left the house and police were dispatched to the scene.
When authorities arrived, Martinez was uncooperative with officers. Officers waited for backup units to arrive before taking Martinez into custody.
Martinez faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping, false imprisonment and resisting an officer without violence.
