High School Student Arrested for Armed Robbery in Firearm Sale Gone Wrong

Miami, FL - A Miami-Dade high school student was arrested on Tuesday on an armed robbery charge after reportedly robbing a fellow student at gunpoint during the sale of a firearm.

The arrest report outlines that both the victim and the suspect, identified as 18-year-old Anthony Mason Cedeno-Salazar, are students at American Senior High School.

Police say the two communicated via text messages regarding the sale of a firearm.

The victim agreed to purchase the weapon for $475, leading to a planned meeting on November 2nd at a location on West 36th Avenue in Hialeah.

During the transaction, Cedeno-Salazar arrived in a car accompanied by a juvenile girl and another individual.

The victim entered the vehicle's back seat, where Cedeno-Salazar provided the firearm's magazine for inspection.

However, Cedeno-Salazar allegedly pointed the gun at the victim after receiving the cash, instructing him to exit the car.

The victim complied, and Cedeno-Salazar, along with the two others, fled the scene.

The Miami-Dade Schools Police were alerted to the robbery, with the victim identifying Cedeno-Salazar as the armed assailant.

The juvenile girl in the car corroborated the victim's account.

Cedeno-Salazar is currently held without bond after his arrest.
