Miami, FL - The Miami Dolphins have placed quarterback Tua Tagovailoa on injured reserve, ruling him out for at least the next four games.

To fill the void, the team has signed quarterback Tyler Huntley from the Baltimore Ravens' practice squad.

Tagovailoa sustained the injury during the team's loss to the Buffalo Bills on Thursday night.

The quarterback collided with Bills defensive back Damar Hamlin, resulting in a concussion.

This marks Tagovailoa's third concussion since 2022, raising concerns about his long-term health.

Throughout his career, Tagovailoa has faced numerous injuries, including rib fractures, a thumb injury, and a fractured middle finger.

In addition to the concussions, he has undergone surgery for a high ankle sprain and a dislocated hip.

The Dolphins' decision to place Tagovailoa on injured reserve comes after he and his family discussed his future in the NFL following the two concussions he suffered last season.
