FLORIDA - As of October 21st, over 700 Floridians have pre-ordered the new "Margaritaville" specialty license plate, bringing the state closer to its 3,000 pre-order goal.
Florida residents can now show their love for Jimmy Buffett by pre-ordering a new "Margaritaville" specialty license plate.
This new plate was approved by state lawmakers earlier this year to honor the late musician.
To be produced, the state requires 3,000 pre-orders.
As of October 21st, 777 people have already pre-ordered the plate.
Proceeds from the sales will benefit the Singing for Change Foundation.
Some counties allow the vouchers to be purchased online.
Floridians can purchase pre-order vouchers at their local tax collector's office or online in some counties.
It's important to note that these vouchers are non-refundable unless the plate doesn't meet the pre-sale requirement.
