The Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School graduation received a surprise visit from Jimmy Fallon. He provided a much needed comic relief during the ceremony, as it was a very emotional day for all. Fallon also paid tribute to the fallen seniors as well as the 13 others that were killed at the school shooting on February 14th.
“You took something horrific and instead of letting it stop you — you started a movement,” Fallon said. “Not just here in Florida, not just in America, but throughout the whole world. The whole world has heard your voice, and that was you making a choice.”
“You are not just the future — you are the present,” Fallon later tweeted, along with a clip congratulating the class of 2018. “Keep changing the world. Keep making us proud.”
That was pretty awesome of you, Jimmy.
