As reported by Local 10 ABC News, an alligator was seen at St. Andrews Park in Florida on April 9th, and while he was clearly very casually just hanging out, he definitely made people VERY uneasy. As Local Carianne Luter from Local 10 put it, he was just living his best life. He didn't see the big deal.
Photos of the gator went viral thanks to Facebook user Lisa Powell Niemiec. Of course, they immediately raised some questions. Some people wondered how the gator could be hanging out in saltwater, but NOAA cleared that up. They explained that while alligators are indeed freshwater creatures, they can tolerate salt water.
