Toast's Weekend Sports Rewind (7/29/19)

Toast

Hope you had a great weekend! Here's a quick rundown of what went down in the sports world…

Let's begin on the gridiron where both the Dolphins and Hurricanes camps had their first weekend of practices.

In Davie…Reports are it was a sloppy affair in the early morning session yesterday. Both the entire offense and defense had to run to the Takes No Talent wall. The defense enjoyed it so much they did it a second time! Camp continues this week with the first preseason game a week from this Thursday versus the Atlanta Falcons.

At Greentree…After an open practice that was cut short by rain over the weekend, Manny Diaz is letting another 1,000 fans in this morning as a make good. The news so far, OC and QB guru Dan Enos is very happy with the amount of improvement he's seeing from all three QB's compared to in the Spring. Expect this battle to begin to get narrowed down to just 2 from 3 towards the end of the week. For more Canes coverage be sure to subscribe to the "Orange Bowl Boys" podcast on the iHeartMedia App!

The Marlins took 2-of-3 this weekend from the Diamondbacks and will try and make it 5 wins in their last 6 games in the series finale tonight at 7:10. The Fish then welcome the Twins to close out the home stand through Thursday.

Finally, The Cleveland Indians Trevor Bauer had to apologize after he threw a temper tantrum on the mound yesterday. Upon getting lit up in the 5th inning, Terry Francona came out to pull him and Bauer threw the baseball over the center-field wall…from the mound. He'll probably get fined, but tough to blame him, I mean, he got rocked by the Royals…

Have an awesome week!
