To bust balls or not to bust balls? That is the question.
What a college football weekend! Tennessee gets beat up by Georgia State (I lived in Tennessee, and there’s not another team in the SEC I hate more than them), and FSU chokes like I’ve never seen before (they already hate their new coach, to UF and UM's delight). So, I’m on Twitter, and I was busting some FSU fans' balls after their loss. Well, someone gave me a hard time for smack talk, saying it “wasn’t cool”. If we can’t torture each other about sports, and we need safe spaces and hugs after our teams lose, then we shouldn't have sports!
My team plays your team, your team loses, and we laugh at you. No? What are you suggesting? A handshake, pat on the back, and a "Hey, you’ll get em next time?" No, a simple "your team stinks," or some other form of that will suffice. And we have a year to enjoy our victory. In fact Gator fans have five years to enjoy the win over UM.
So, here’s how it goes: If your team loses, expect some ribbing, and accept it. If you have a problem with that, it’s on you.
