Our worst nightmares are coming to fruition. Sure, we all knew the Dolphins would suck this year, but actually seeing it live and in living color is a reality we weren’t ready for. The NFL regular season goes for 17 weeks, that’s over 4 months, and we’re only 2 weeks in.
This team is awful. And not just normal awful, but the most awful football team ever assembled. Through 2 games they are tied with the 1973 New Orleans Saints as the worst team since the Super Bowl era began (1967). They’ve been outscored 102 – 10. They’ve only scored 1 touchdown over 8 quarters and now; many players want to be traded to get out of town. It’s miserable and who can blame them?
If you’re going to go out and literally sacrifice your future health and well-being for a team, you’d like to know that your team wants to win! Wouldn’t you?
This season is only going to get longer. At this point, there is no escape. So instead of driving yourself crazy and getting depressed over this team, say screw it. Go to the movies. Play catch with your kids. Take the wife out for a date. Do anything…except watch the Dolphins.
2020 will not be here before you know it, it’ll be here in 4 months…
