I honestly, truthfully believe that Deepfakes are going to seriously damage our ability to effectively communicate in society. They’ve already been used to scam people out of money, and they keep getting better. That said, they CAN admittedly show us some pretty cool things...like alternate realities! Example: Not a lot of people now that Tom Selleck was the original choice for Indiana Jones. Well, now we can see what that would have looked like it. It is WILD.
