'Batman' News: Colin Farrell In Talks To Play The Penguin

Premiere Of Disney's "Dumbo" - Red Carpet

The cast for The Batman continues to shape up! As reported by Variety, it appears that one of the new additions is Colin Farrell. He'll be facing off against Robert Pattinson's Bruce Wayne in the role of an iconic DC villain: The Penguin! The film, which will be directed by Matt Reeves, is going to feature a trio of villains: Catwoman (Zoë Kravitz), The Riddler (Paul Dano), and now the Penguin.

The casting is receiving some mixed responses. Farrell is a good actor, no doubt. But some are wondering if he can convey the creepy, gluttonous nature of the Penguin (who was previously played by Burgess Meredith and Danny DeVito). Let us know what you think!

Also in talks for a role is Andy Serkis, who might be playing the legendary butler, Alfred Pennyworth. The Batman is scheduled to be released on June 25th, 2021. Here's famous fan editor BossLogic's take on what he might look like:
