Well, I’m cultured now. I experienced the world famous, legendary Art Basel for the first time. Well, technically it was Art Miami. Going there was my way of avoiding the beach traffic while still checking out the amazing works. But anyway, it still counts and it was all part of the madness! First note: You can’t afford anything at the show. Some woman, smelling specifically of clove cigarettes, wore white gloves up to her elbows with a ferret on a leash. She told me that the “extraordinary piece” I was looking at could be mine for 150 grand...isn’t that what the stupid banana taped to the wall went for?
