I hope you've had a good year. I can’t complain. Professionally, there have been some challenges, but you roll up your sleeves and you get the job done. Personally, there have been LOTS of challenges, and I could complain, but who would listen? Here are some end of the year observations:
New York City (taking a quick trip up there):
Looking forward to seeing the tree at Rockefeller Center, it should get us in the holiday mood…not looking forward to seeing the 911 Memorial, only because I know I will come out of it a blubbering idiot. Looking forward to seeing the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, not looking forward to freezing my ass off while waiting in line to get in! Looking forward to eating at all the great restaurants in NY, not looking forward to arguing about which ones we should go to! Can’t wait to see the Conrad NYC Downtown, our hotel; not looking forward to the weirdo’s in Times Square!
Christmas: We had a houseful of old people over for Thanksgiving and we are looking forward to the same crowd for Christmas. This time, I am NOT cooking. Picking up food from Anthony’s Runway 84. Taking bets on who the first person in the family will be to bring up a medical problem. Odds are on my Mother. Gifts: I want stuff, but feel guilty asking for it, since in my house…I have to pay for it!
Winterfest Boat Parade: It’s my favorite unique Ft. Lauderdale night of the year. This will be an interesting year, since the New River (thanks to hundreds of thousands of shit water flowing into the river due to an antiquated sewer system) smelling like butt-hole.
The Show: Will Toast stay on Keto? Will Alden ever throw a ball? Will Heather leave her dungeon? Will Mike ask Augie to marry him? How long will my weight loss new year’s resolution last this year?
