The Castronovies: Show of the Year

Nominee: The Mandalorian (Season 1)

A lone gunfighter makes his way through the outer reaches of the galaxy, far from the authority of the New Republic. The show that launched Disney+ and brought us Baby Yoda was one of the hottest topics this winter. With both critics and audience scoring it over 93% on Rotten Tomatoes, it may be more loved than the final Star Wars trilogy. On Friday, Jon Favreau, the executive producer of The Mandalorian, announced via Twitter and Instagram that Season Two will debut Fall 2020.

Nominee: Stranger Things (Season 3)

In the summer of 1985 in Hawkins, the newly opened Starcourt Mall has become the focal point of the town. The second most-watched title on Netflix for the entire year, combining the best of the first season with comedy and color, Stranger Things 3 is a warm, summer hit. The Netflix sci-fi horror will be back for season four, which means all of those loose ends you've been losing sleep over will be ironed out

Nominee: Jack Ryan (Season 2)

After tracking a potentially suspicious shipment of illegal arms in the Venezuelan jungle, CIA Officer Jack Ryan heads to South America to investigate. Jack's actions threaten to uncover a far-reaching conspiracy, leading him and his fellow operatives on a mission spanning the globe. John Krasinski and his version of Jack Ryan will get a third tour of duty on Amazon, which gave an advance order for season 3 back in February 2019.
