South Florida was set abuzz yesterday as the Dolphins announced that Tua Tagovailoa is getting the start versus the L.A. Rams on November 1st at Hard Rock Stadium.
The joy from South Florida football fans was awesome to see! I was totally happy and on board with the decision, then the talking heads at that sports network decided to tell us why this isn’t a good idea.
The Dolphins offensive line isn’t very good. Ryan Fitzpatrick had the 3rd quickest release in the league. The Rams pass rush, led by Aaron Donald, is too ferocious, Tua might get killed!
Listen, I get all the analytics. But I’m going to ignore them and here’s why…
Tua should’ve been the #1 overall pick if not for his hip injury. The number 1 overall pick, if scouted correctly, should be better than a 15-year journeyman quarterback…every time! That’s not a shot at Fitz, but it’s who he is.
You think the Bengals line is great? How about the Giants? Their QB’s haven’t been sent to the medical tent yet…
So, put Tua Tagovailoa in and let’s roll the dice! I believe he will be fine and will back up the faith Coach Flores has put in him!
It’s Tua Time! Let’s Roll!
