We had people, not in our immediate family, over our house for dinner. There, I said it.
Here comes the shame! “But, What about Covid?” Believe me, we know. The plan was, a Covid 19 friendly dinner with another couple at our house. I’d grill out. Socially distanced tables.
My wife and I went as far as separate appetizer platters as well as a different wine bottle for each couple. Glasses were placed. All was going well, until 5 minutes before they arrived, and whatever that crazy rain system we had decided to dump all of it onto my backyard.
“Now what?” My wife and I panicked, “Do we cancel?” The doorbell rang, too late.
Outside, was out of the question, we explained our predicament, And they agreed, so we ended up with them in the living room and us in the kitchen about 30 feet away. We had fun, and we felt safe, but just to be sure...when they left we sold the house.
