When are things gonna get back to normal? Good question. I saw a few glimmers this week that gave me hope. First, Joes Stone crab opened.
A south florida tradition signifying the beginning of “the season” , so I went! We dined outside , under the stars, Covid safe, they even had outdoor seating in Joe’s Backyard and for a brief moment, except for the fact that I couldn’t see the amazing staff at joes smiling faces because of their masks, things were normal.
Then there was the opening of Knaus Berry Farm and the annual pilgrimage to Homestead for their ridiculous cinnamon buns , people were in line at 4:30 am and waited 3 hours for these bad boys, again for a moment, things “seemed” normal (as if there is anything normal about waiting three hours for a cinnamon bun).
Perhaps, when I see the first glimpse
Of a Quebec license plate heading South, then I’ll know...we’re gonna be ok.
