On Friday, Kim Ng became the first female general manager in Major League Baseball history on Friday, when she was hired by the Miami Marlins. Before finally landing the gig in Miami, Ng had interviewed for an MLB GM job more than a half-dozen times since 2005, including with the Phillies, Mets, Giants, Dodgers, Mariners and Padres.
We were lucky enough to get Kim on the phone today to chat about her plans for the Marlins and what the interview process is like to become an MLB general manager. Also, we're pretty sure she and Paul formed a new wine club, so that's really cool.
