Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers revealed the surprise news yesterday that he's going to be a Jeopardy! guest host. Rodgers was a contestant on Celebrity Jeopardy! in 2015, winning $50,000 for charity, and said that it had been a "dream come true."

Tuesday on the Pat McAfee Show he added, "I may have jumped the gun a little bit, so I apologize to Jeopardy! if they wanted to announce it. . . . It kind of just went down the last couple of days, us figuring it out. It is very exciting."

Former Jeopardy! champion Ken Jennings was the first to step into Alex Trebek's shows as a guest host, and Katie Couric is scheduled to host next week. Rodgers did not say when exactly his episode would air.
