Today (Wednesday, July 21st) is National Hot Dog Day and a new survey delved into the personality differences between hot dog and hamburger lovers as well as our hot dog preferences.

One hot dog preference that's still dividing the nation - is the hot dog considered a sandwich? 53% or respondents said 'yes' while 47% said no. (Personally, I've heard strong arguments that a hot dog is a taco, but we'll leave that for another day.)

75% of people admit to having put the condiments in the bun BEFORE the hot dog. For the record, the official hot dog etiquette guide says you should never place condiments between the bun and the hot dog. Always "dress the dog," not the bun.

75% of people will opt for burgers over hot dogs, and which one you prefer may say a lot about your personality. Those who choose a dog over a burger are more likely to be picky eaters and extroverts, while burger lovers believe they are more kind and they get more laughs.
