A Little Bit of Everything is Biting!
It sure is getting exciting fishing off the coast here lately! Honestly I really don’t know what is going to bite the hook next! Over the last three days we have caught kingfish, wahoo, blackfin tuna, black grouper, mahi mahi and bonito. As we have been saying, this is the beginning of our meat fish season and it sure is starting off great. Everything that you see in the pictures here has been caught trolling. There have been a few nice fish caught while kite fishing but it seems that most of the quality fish right now are caught trolling. You have to find really good water right now. There are pods of green dirty water that you do not want to fish in so keep an eye out for the cleaner water.
The sailfish bite was excellent last weekend with the cold front but as the week went on the sailfish bite has diminished.
The swordfish bite slowed down mid week and we have had reports of huge patches of seaweed well offshore. The mahi bite will be good this weekend so if the weather stays nice as predicted you may want to take a trip offshore and search for the mahi-mahi.
The bottom fishing continues to be good so if you need to bend the rod don’t be afraid to fish for snapper on the shallow reefs.
We have a lot of options to choose from and it looks like we are going to have a great weather weekend so it’s time for you to get out there and catch some fish.
Let’s do it!
