Doc’s Dog of the week is two-year-old Mermaid who is ready to make a splash as this week's Diamond in the Ruff. Thanks to our friends at J.R. Dunn Jewelers, this fun-loving dog has had her adoption fee sponsored so all she needs is the right home. She might not be a real mermaid, but this girl loves to play and explore. An owner with a yard would be a great match. She is a high-energy dog so she would do best in a home with no small children and she prefers to be the only pet. Mermaid is also heartworm positive so her new family will need to bring her in to the shelter a few times for treatment.
